Prepare for Pickup
RV Transport Safety Checklist
A road-ready RV helps protect the equipment and keeps pickup on schedule.

RV trailer preparation
- Check tire condition, inflation and visible age or cracking.
- Verify wheel bearings, brakes, breakaway system and exterior lights.
- Confirm the coupler, kingpin or hitch components are secure and serviceable.
- Retract and secure slide-outs, awnings, steps, antennas and stabilizers.
- Lock windows, doors, exterior compartments and roof vents.
- Remove loose exterior accessories and secure interior belongings.
- Provide safe access and enough turning room at both locations.
Motorhome preparation
- Tell us accurately whether it starts, runs, steers and brakes.
- Check fluids, tires, batteries and basic operating systems for drive-away moves.
- Secure all personal items, doors, windows, awnings and slide-outs.
- Remove toll tags and record condition and mileage for your own records.
This is a general preparation guide, not a mechanical inspection. Repair concerns should be handled by a qualified RV technician before transport.
